What is Forensics?

While many people are familiar with the term
“Forensics” as seen in television shows such as CSI, most people are
not familiar with the art of Forensics. Forensics is a term that was
once meant “to interpret”. Forensic scientists search for evidence, DNA
samples and fingerprints, and use this evidence to interpret the crime
scene. Forensics in high school refers to the interpretation of poetry,
prose, drama, story, and current events. It is an oratorical
competition that not only allows participants to develop their public
speaking skills, critical thinking skills, and argumentation, but it
also allows participants to express themselves.
